Russia’s Corona vaccine Sputnik will come to market next week
NITI Aayog member (health) Dr VK Paul said –
- ‘Sputnik vaccine has arrived in India. I am happy to say that we expect it to be available in the market from next week.

216 crore doses of different vaccines expected to be available from August to December.

The government said that in addition to this, more foreign vaccines are also expected to come.
There is great news in India amidst Corona havoc. Russia’s Corona vaccine will be available in the Sputnik Vaccine In India from next week in the country.
NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul today said that from next week, people can be vaccinated with Sputnik. This vaccine will be produced in India from July.

Sputnik has arrived in India. I am happy to say that we expect it to be available in the market from next week. We also hope to start selling limited quantities of the vaccine from Russia starting next week.
Many foreign vaccines will come to India
NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul said that continuous work is being done at every level to provide the maximum vaccine. He said that if we look at the availability of the vaccine from August to December, a total of 216 crore vaccine doses are expected to be available.
Of this, 55 crore dose cowin vicine, 75 crore covishield, 30 crore bio sub-unit vaccine, 5 crore zydus Cadila DNA , 20 crores novavax vaccine, 100 million Bharat biotech nasal vaccine, 6 crore Genova and 15 crore dose sputnik will be available. Apart from this, other foreign vaccines may also come.
Covaxin’s formula questioned other companies
The population of 18 years and above is 95 crore in the country. All the two doses together will require about 2 billion doses.
Dr Paul said that-

The vaccines that are coming will be sufficient. On the question of giving Kovacine formula to other companies, he said that the company has also welcomed this demand and we have also talked to other companies.
- The live virus is inactivated in this vaccine and it can only be done in BSL three level lab. No other company has this lab. There is an open offer for the company that wants to join such labs.
India can get any vaccine approved by WHO
He said that the new policy for the third phase of vaccination was made because the states wanted to have some flexibility and could decide on their own. There was also a demand from the people that vaccine should be available in the private sector as well.
He said that any vaccine that has been approved by WHO, FDA can come to India. Import license will be available in 2 days.
He said that there is no import license pending. Dr Paul said that the number of people above 45 years of age in the country is about 34 crores. A third of the population has received the first dose. That is, one in every three got the first dose of the vaccine.
