Pakistan will not negotiate with India till the Kashmir decision is returned: Imran
Islamabad, May 11 (PTI) Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Tuesday that –
-
His country will not hold talks with India until New Delhi withdraws the decision to revoke Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.
On August 5, 2019, India abolished most of the provisions of Article 370, which were attached to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Khan said-
-
“Until India withdraws the August 5 decision.” Pakistan’s government will not negotiate with India at any cost. “
Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that
-
No talks are currently taking place with India, but talks can take place if New Delhi amends its policies on Kashmir and provides relief to the people of Kashmir.
At a press conference in Islamabad, he said-
-
“Jammu and Kashmir cannot be an internal issue of India as it is on the agenda of the United Nations and there are several resolutions of the Security Council on it.”
India has been consistently saying that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and the country is capable of solving its problems.
