Break-in LJP: This is not Nitish’s last bet, it is a masterstroke..!
Break-in LJP: This is not Nitish’s last bet, it is a masterstroke..!
It was Chirag Paswan who spoiled his maths in the Bihar elections. Now Nitish has extinguished the flame of Chirag Paswan from the people of his house and has settled the accounts.
Pashupati Paras, who led the rebellion against Chirag Paswan, and Nitish have a cordial relationship since the Bihar elections. In such a changing environment, if Pashupati Paras gets a place in the Union Cabinet from the LJP quota instead of Chirag Paswan, Nitish will not object to it.
In fact, Nitish, who was weakened by slipping to the third position in the Bihar election results of November 10, has played another bet at the right time. The Union Cabinet is going to be expanded soon.
After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, Nitish Kumar did not want to see Chirag Paswan at any cost in his vacant chair in the Union Cabinet.
Nitish Kumar may have announced in the Dhamdaha rally on the last day of the Bihar election campaign that this is his last election, but this bet is not his last bet to break into the Lok Janshakti Party.
Actually, this is a masterstroke of Nitish amidst the call of change and expansion in the Union Cabinet. Nitish has done much hunting at the same time by targeting with arrows at the right time.
After Delhi, now it’s the turn of the storm in Patna
Patna is now going to become the centre of internal turmoil in the Lok Janshakti Party after Delhi. After capturing the Delhi Parliamentary Party leader on Monday, now all the five rebel MPs led by Pashupati Paras are marching to Patna on Tuesday.
A meeting of the LJP National Executive can be called there this week, in which Chirag Paswan is now set to be ousted from the post of party national president after parliamentary party leader.
The political confrontation between uncle and nephew has been seen between Shivpal-Akhilesh in UP earlier as well. This bugle of rebellion in LJP had sounded only during the Bihar elections.
The impact of the breakup of LJP on Nitish-BJP
Nitish, who was weakened by slipping to the third position in the Bihar election results of November 10, has played another bet at the right time. The Union Cabinet is going to be expanded soon.
After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, Nitish Kumar did not want to see Chirag Paswan at any cost in his vacant chair in the Union Cabinet.
BJP will also be successful in raising the slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. The latest statement of Pashupati Paras can be considered as part of this episode. Paras praised Modi as well as Nitish, while also making it clear that he has not broken the LJP, has saved and is a part of the NDA. Paras called Nitish a Vikas Purush.
This is also not the right time for Nitish to merge LJP with JDU. Even so, the Akali Dal has separated from the NDA due to the farmers’ movement. By cultivating Nitish along with LJP, the BJP can hum the song of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas again till the Lok Sabha elections along with Uttar Pradesh.
The share in the cabinet is being considered fixed.
Nitish is in the mood to give importance to JDU in the Union Cabinet this time. The last time the Modi cabinet was formed, only one ministerial post was offered. Angered by this, Nitish turned down the offer. Then it was decided not to include JDU in the Union Cabinet. He had adopted this formula that Nitish in Bihar and Modi in the centre.
Everything went on this formula, but in the last Bihar assembly elections, BJP became the elder brother and Nitish the younger. The BJP put Nitish on the chief minister’s chair, but there was an internal tussle on many big and small issues like bureaucratic changes to love jihad law.
This was the reason that after the coronation of Nitish, the expansion of the Bihar cabinet was stuck for about 84 days. Nitish proved himself to be a big brother in getting a place in the Bihar cabinet even after fewer seats. Now
Nitish’s eyes are fixed on the expansion of the Modi cabinet.
Nitish had earlier inducted Rajkumar Singh, the lone MLA of Matihani seat, won by Chirag Paswan’s LJP. Upendra Kushwaha of RLSP has also joined Nitish. Kushwaha had joined hands with Mayawati in the Bihar elections. Jitan Ram Manjhi is a wavering. Kushwaha and Manjhi have been trying to be a link between Nitish and Lalu.
After the split in Chirag Paswan’s party, if LJP and JD(U) do not get the due status in the Union Cabinet, Nitish may move towards the merger of Paras-led LJP with JDU, leaving Chirag Paswan. This will strengthen the social engineering of JDU i.e. Dalit, Backward, Muslim and its traditional vote bank.
At present, Nitish has not only been able to settle the accounts with Chirag Paswan but is also moving ahead in the strategy of strengthening his hold on the Center along with JDU in the Union Cabinet.
That’s why Nitish felt this time for the breakup of LJP was favourable. As such, the voices of the broken had started getting louder from the Bihar elections itself. Now Nitish’s eyes are on Congress.
Using the link of Nitish Kushwaha and Manjhi, the strategy of pressure on the Center seems successful.
Nitish may have been weakened by the election results, but he has made continuous strides towards the strength of JDU along with himself.
This is the reason that when BJP’s Tunna Pandey made anti-Nitish statements before the Union Cabinet expansion, the BJP not only had to silence Pandey by suspending him but also pacified the retaliatory voice raised by JDU.
Chirag Paswan could not sense the mood of the weather
Ram Vilas Paswan was called the meteorologist of politics. In 2014, he won 6 Lok Sabha seats out of 7 by joining Modi. Won six of the six Lok Sabha seats in 2019.
Ram Vilas Paswan, who won from Hajipur by Guinness Book of World Record votes, secured himself a Rajya Sabha seat and sent his brother Pashupati Paras to Parliament by handing over the Hajipur seat.
After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, Pashupati Paras proved to be Bhasmasur for Chirag Paswan. Despite being the political head of the family, Ram Vilas Paswan won the election from Samastipur to his son Prince Raj after the death of his MP brother Ramchandra Paswan.
Ram Vilas Paswan kept the party and the family united. After the death of father Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag Paswan could not handle the inherited party and responsibility.
Chirag Paswan reduced Prince Raj from the responsibility of the party in Bihar state. Now even Prince rebelled against Chirag Paswan.
JDU national president RCP Singh believes that Chirag Paswan reaps what he sowed. After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag Paswan was hoping for a sympathy vote, but he did himself a loss by creating an atmosphere against Nitish, the political face of Bihar.
Chirag Paswan wanted to be a kingmaker, but with Nitish’s bets, darkness has spread under the lamp.
