Bihar Flood: The threat of flood started deepening in North Bihar, water entered the villages, many areas were cut off
Due to incessant rains, life in Bihar has been badly affected, while floods have started wreaking havoc in many areas of North Bihar. Gandak is causing havoc in three blocks of Muzaffarpur.
About two dozen villages in the Sahebganj and Diara areas of Paru have been engulfed by floodwaters. The floodwaters have entered about 600 houses in both blocks.
At the same time, many villages of Saraiya are partially in the grip of floods. On the other hand, Bagmati and Budhi Gandak are also witnessing rapid water growth.
The water of Bagmati is increasing rapidly in Aurai, Katra and Gaighat. Due to the increase in Budhi Gandak, there is an atmosphere of panic in Motipur, Kanti, Meenapur, Musahari and urban areas.
The DM has visited the areas affected by Gandak and directed to intensify the relief and rescue work. At the same time, floodwater entered the Sugauli police station office on Friday. Soon the police station was shifted to the school.
Water is flowing on Sangrampur-Hajipur main road, lost contact
In the East Champaran district, many blocks are affected by floods as the water level of the Gandak and Budhi Gandak rivers continue to rise. Due to the rise in the water level of the Gandak river, the flood water on the Sangrampur-Hajipur main road has increased.
The flows of water are fast for about one kilometre from Izra Mori village. Traffic has been disrupted due to the rise of Bagmati river water on the Sirauli diversion of Tetaria block.
Three feet of floodwater entered the road leading to the Bishunpurva village of Sugauli. Floodwaters have entered many villages on the banks of the Dumaria Ghat Ring Dam. Many villages of Areraj and Banjariya are affected by the floods.
